WritlifyAI (https://writlify.ai) is an AI and utility tools platform that provides free-to-use writing, productivity, and AI-powered tools. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being fully transparent about how our site works.

Because WritlifyAI does not require accounts or logins, we collect very limited information. Here is exactly what is collected and why:

• Anonymous Usage Data (via Google Analytics): Pages visited, time spent on pages, device type, browser, and general geographic location (country/city level). This data is anonymous — it cannot identify you personally.
• Temporary IP Address (Rate Limiting Only): To enforce our fair-use limit of 5 requests per hour, we temporarily process your IP address. It is used solely to count requests within a rolling 1-hour window and is never stored, logged to a database, or shared with any third party.
• Cookies: Small text files placed on your device by Google Analytics for analytics purposes. No advertising cookies are currently in use. See Section 4 for full details.
• Voluntary Contact Information: If you email us at ai.writlify@gmail.com, we receive your name and email address solely to respond to your inquiry. We do not add you to any mailing list.

We do not collect: names, passwords, payment information, user profiles, stored tool inputs or outputs, or any sensitive personal data.

We use the limited information we collect only for the following purposes:

• To operate our tools: Temporary IP processing is used to apply fair-use rate limits (5 requests/hour) to keep the service stable and accessible for everyone.
• To understand site performance: Anonymous analytics data (via Google Analytics) helps us understand which tools are popular, how users navigate the site, and where we can improve.
• To respond to inquiries: If you contact us by email, we use your email address solely to reply to you.
• To comply with legal obligations: We may process minimal data as required by applicable law, including GDPR, UK GDPR, and CCPA.
• To display advertisements (future): We may in the future work with third-party advertising networks, including Google, to display ads on our site. Any such integration will be disclosed in an updated version of this policy before it goes live.

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your information with any third party for their own marketing purposes — ever.

WritlifyAI currently uses only the following cookies:

• Google Analytics Cookies (_ga, _gid, _gat): These cookies are set by Google Analytics (GA4) and help us understand anonymous traffic patterns — which pages are visited, how long users stay, and what country they are from. No personal identity is collected. IP addresses are anonymized before being sent to Google.
• Session / Rate-Limit Cookies: A temporary session identifier may be used to count your tool requests within the current hour. This resets automatically and contains no personal information.

You can control or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. Disabling Google Analytics cookies will not affect the functionality of our tools. You may also opt out of Google Analytics across all websites by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

We use Google Analytics (GA4) and Google Search Console, both provided by Google LLC (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA).

• What Google Analytics collects: Pages visited, session duration, device and browser type, and approximate geographic location (country/region). All IP addresses are anonymized before transmission to Google servers.
• What Google Search Console collects: Search queries that led users to our site, click-through rates, and site indexing data. This data is aggregated and anonymous.
• Where data is processed: Google may transfer and process this data on servers located in the United States and other countries. Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

Google's use of data collected via these services is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. We have entered into a Data Processing Agreement with Google as required under GDPR Article 28.

WritlifyAI does not currently display any advertisements. We are transparent about our future plans:

• Planned: Google AdSense: We intend to apply for Google AdSense in the future to display contextual or personalized advertisements. Before any ads are activated, this privacy policy will be updated to include full disclosure of ad-related data collection, cookie usage, and opt-out mechanisms.
• Your rights regarding future ads: When advertising is introduced, users in the EU, UK, and California will be presented with proper consent mechanisms before any personalized advertising cookies are set.

To ensure fair access and stable service for all users, WritlifyAI enforces a limit of 5 requests per hour per user on our AI-powered tools.

• How it works: Your IP address is temporarily processed in memory to count requests within a rolling 1-hour window. Once the window resets, the count clears automatically.
• What is NOT done with your IP: Your IP address is never written to a database, never linked to a personal profile, never shared with third parties, and never used for any purpose other than rate limiting.
• Legal basis: This processing is based on our Legitimate Interest (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)) to prevent abuse and maintain service quality for all users.

We do not sell your data. The only third parties that may receive any data in connection with your use of WritlifyAI are:

• Google LLC: Receives anonymous analytics data via Google Analytics and Google Search Console. See Section 05 for full details.
• Hosting & Infrastructure Providers: Our website hosting provider may have access to standard server logs (which may include IP addresses) for security and uptime monitoring purposes only.
• Legal Authorities: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the legal rights, safety, or property of WritlifyAI or its users.

Any future third-party integrations (such as advertising networks or payment processors) will be disclosed in this policy before being activated.

Because we collect very little data, retention is straightforward:

• Tool inputs & outputs: Not stored at all. Processing happens in real time and nothing is saved after your session.
• Rate-limit IP data: Cleared automatically after each rolling 1-hour window.
• Google Analytics data: Retained by Google for up to 14 months under our GA4 settings, then automatically deleted.
• Email inquiries: If you contact us by email, we retain your message for up to 12 months or until the matter is resolved, whichever comes first.

Depending on your location, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

EU & UK Users (GDPR / UK GDPR)

• Right to Access: Request a copy of any personal data we hold about you.
• Right to Erasure: Request deletion of your personal data.
• Right to Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Right to Restrict Processing: Ask us to limit how we use your data.
• Right to Object: Object to processing based on legitimate interests.
• Right to Data Portability: Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
• Right to Complain: Lodge a complaint with your national Data Protection Authority (e.g., ICO in the UK).

California Users (CCPA)

• Right to Know: Request disclosure of what personal information we collect and how it is used.
• Right to Delete: Request deletion of your personal information.
• Right to Opt Out of Sale: WritlifyAI does not sell personal information. This right is already honored by default.
• Right to Non-Discrimination: You will not receive different or inferior service for exercising your CCPA rights.

WritlifyAI is not directed at children under the age of 13, or under 16 in certain EU/UK jurisdictions. We do not knowingly collect any personal data from children.

If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us, please contact us immediately at ai.writlify@gmail.com and we will delete it promptly.

WritlifyAI is accessible globally. Anonymous analytics data collected via Google Analytics may be transferred to and processed on Google's servers in the United States and other countries.

Google LLC participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and implements Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) as approved by the European Commission, ensuring adequate protection for EU/UK user data transferred internationally.

We do not independently transfer personal data to any country outside your own, as we do not store personal data ourselves.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, technology, or legal requirements. When we make significant changes, we will:

• Update the date: The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will be revised.
• Post a notice: A notice may be displayed on our site for major changes.
• Obtain consent where required: For changes that materially affect how we process data, we will obtain fresh consent where legally required (e.g., for EU/UK users).

Continued use of WritlifyAI after an updated policy is posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
